Our Pastor – Chris Berger

Chris came to us on Sunday, May 2, 2021 as an Associate Pastor and recently accepted the position of Sr Pastor after the retirement of our previous pastor.  Chris grew up at Rockford Lane and has a great love for the people and the community.  We look forward to his leadership and pray God uses him in a mighty way.

 

Youth Pastor: Paul Arms

We welcomed Paul Arms in June of 2024 as our youth pastor.  Paul will be leading our youth in all areas including Sunday school and our Wednesday night program.  He brings a strong love for the Lord, an abiding love for His word, and a tender love for the church.  He additionally brings years of service as a lay leader and a tender heart for young people.  We welcome Paul as he serves this vital age.

 

Children’s Ministry Lead – Jessica Arms

Jessica came to us on Sunday, November 22, 2020 as our Children’s Ministry Lead.  She brings over 10 years of faithful service in both paid and voluntary roles to the position.  We are excited about her passion to communicate God’s word to children.  She is also assisting our Wednesday night fellowship meal ministry as they prepare meals for our congregation.  In late 2022 she began to train in the office to assist on Monday’s with clerical duties.  We are grateful for her wide ranging interest in serving the Lord in our church.  Our prayers are that we support and encourage Jessica and her husband Paul as they continue their path in ministry.

 – – Volunteer Lay Leaders- – 

Worship leader – Mrs. Vernita Sharp – Mrs. Sharp brings a heart of worship to our time in the Lord’s house on Sunday.  She has a tremendous yearning to see God’s people worship in spirit and in truth.

Chairman of Deacons – Mr James Kendell Sharp – Kendell is providing tremendous leadership over our deacon board.  His support of the pastor and staff and overall support is making a powerful difference in the life of the church.

Office Assistant – Sara Barnes

Sara joined us in 2021 as our part time office assistant.  As a long-term member at Rockford Lane Sara is very knowledgeable of the inner workings of our ministry.  She brings a tremendous wealth of knowledge to the position.  We are excited about her contributions.

 

 

Our Pastor Emeritus – Dr. Randal Pollock

On Sunday, July 28, 2019, the church conferred upon Dr. Pollock the honor of Pastor Emeritus for his years of service to the church and community.  Dr. & Mrs. Pollock served the church faithfully from September of 2000 to December of 2015.  1 Thessalonians 1:2 expresses our sentiment well, “We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers.”  

As a former pastor at Rockford Lane, I want to express my appreciation for their service, their commitment, and their continued prayer support and loving encouragement of this ministry.  It was my privilege to convey this honor prior to my retirement.
